In 2006, whilst traveling in Argentina, TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie witnessed the struggles of children growing up without shoes. He had a simple idea that would turn into an inspirational business model - to create a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child in need. Since its conception, TOMS has addressed and help advance health, education and economic opportunity for children and their communities around the world. TOMS has given away over 35 million pairs of shoes and has continued to expand their one-for-one collection, now helping to provide rural communities with safe drinking water, skilled birth attendants, and restorative eye surgery.
